In this film, Stiller's character brings his fiance home to meet his parents. It picks up shortly after the disastrous first meeting with her parents in the first film. His parents will be almost the exact opposite of her parents, played by Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner.
Stiller's mother has yet to be cast. He has stated that his dream selection would be Barbara Streisand. The script is by Jim Herzfeld with an assist from Tim Rasmussen and Vince DiMeglio.
