I am on vacation but I consider a big part of vacation the ability to spend a lot of time writing. Usually I only have at most an hour or two a day to write and I start getting anxious when I find no time at all. Here at the lake, I can devote many hours a day to it. I can actually get to a point where I get burned out and need to stop writing for the day. Luxury.
So the last update had me grumbling about my brain refusing to stay on track with my current new and untitled script. Well I got up here and gave in. Rather than keep fighting, I went with the flow and started actively rewriting Joe Bob the Messiah. Truthfully I started a couple weeks ago but made fairly sluggish progress. Three days here and I'm done. Rewrite complete. See? I can write quite quickly when I have the time to devote to it.
So today I'm keeping with this theme. I'm going to start a rewrite of She Hates the Idea. I'm armed with some ideas from some more experienced writers and several weeks of thinking about it. It won't be an extensive rewrite. I'm going to go through and improve certain sections by making them more visual. I'll also be focusing on strengthening one particular character. At the rate I'm working up here, it should only take a couple days.
I may post more while I'm here. I don't know. I am now actively using Twitter, so check the right sidebar of this blog for updates or just follow me directly.
